Høgtun is perfectly placed for activities outdoors. In the area you can find some of the longest descents on skis, from peak to fjord. We have the ocean and diving opportunities at the coast. We have quiet fjords, archipelagos and sharp peaks. Maybe you are one of those who do not like to go that far, but would gladly join a boat trip over Eikedalsvatnet with good friends, barbeque, and a beautiful view. We at Høgtun facilitate for amazing nature experiences, regardless of shape or interests.
Our slogan is “Built for movement”. Høgtun is located in Torvikbukt – The active village. There is culture and facilities for movement here. We are right below Nøssa, Reinsfjellet and Holtafjellet, just an afternoon hike up, and from the tops you will have the perfect view of the ocean. Tusnastabbene which sticks right up from the water can also be seen along with the flat island of Smøla with it´s windmills. If you turn around can you see Trondheimen, Sunndalsfjella, and Romsdalsalpene – a wealth of steep mountain peaks. We have snow in the mountains and ski trails every winter. We have surf beaches, mountains to climb, huts in the woods, Northern lights, cross country ski trails passing through bogs and forest, untouched powder snow, and mountain streams we can fill our flasks with. There is much nature here to fall in love with.
